The training I have received from Velocity has been great- the lessons that I have had throughout my Multi Channel Marketer apprenticeship have been extremely thorough and varied, providing me with insightful and relevant knowledge to help me write up some useful reports to complete my portfolio but these lessons have also provided me with knowledge which I have then gone on to apply to my current job roles at JCB. The support I have received also throughout my training has been great, the feedback which I have received has been really encouraging and motivating also.
In terms of how I landed my apprenticeship, I was able to seek the opportunity to be a Multi Channel Marketer at JCB- they provided me with the opportunity to undergo an interview, a team building exercise and then an induction week which allowed me to better understand the business and the working environment of JCB. Within the first week of starting at the business, I had a thorough and detailed induction call with Emma- where she talked me through what the apprenticeship is going to look like, what training I will undertake and all other necessary details. There has never once been a time where I have been unsure about the training, lessons or the reports- the support has been ongoing and consistent thoughout my whole apprenticeship from both Emma at Velocity and JCB.
I have had the opportunity to develop many skills through my training from Velocity. I have developed skills like organisation, communication, time management and task management skills. What is great about these skills is that I am now able to apply these skills to my current job roles at JCB and put these into practice in a realistic manner whilst at work.
Currently, I am preparing to go through gateway where I will prepare for my EPA. I am hoping for a Distinction as my final grade in my Multi Channel Marketer Apprenticeship scheme. I am also going into my third and final placement in September where I will have the opportunity to be exposed to another area of marketing at JCB. I will then be offered a full time position at the business, within marketing, where I hope to come off scheme and work full time as a marketer at JCB.
I have loved every part of my Marketing apprenticeship with Velocity Academy. Paired with hands on experience at JCB, a leading construction and agricultural equipment manufacture and the outmatched guidance from the Velocity team, I achieved a distinction for this course.
